AUSTIN, Texas – Baylor women’s tennis dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 10 Texas on Friday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center. The Bears’ outing against the Longhorns marked second-straight match Baylor faced a top-10 opponent to start the year.
Texas took the doubles point with 6-2 and 6-1 victories on court one and two, respectively. When the point was claimed, Isabella Harvison and Zuzanna Kubacha were up, 5-2, on court three.
In singles action, Kubacha won her opening set, 6-1, at the No. 5 position and was tied at three-all in the second set as the Longhorns took the match, 4-0. Miska Kadleckova was the only Bear unable to finish their opening set as she was about to force a tiebreaker in the frame when the match concluded.
The Bears return to action on Saturday and will face SMU at 3 p.m. at the Texas Tennis Center.
