Travis Scott Camp Alleges ‘Phone Lost at Sea,’ Astroworld Lawsuit Evidence Gone

Travis Scott was in Houston for an eight-hour deposition about the many lawsuits that came out of the tragic 2021 Astroworld event. During the deposition, a new twist came up.

Scott’s lawyer, Steve Brody, said that something strange had happened to Travis Scott’s phone. He said that the musician’s phone “fell off a boat in January 2022 and landed somewhere at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, where it can’t be found.”

This strange phone story sounds a lot like a famous part of the UK libel trial of Coleen Rooney and Rebekhah Vardy, who were often called “Wagatha Christie.”

Lawyers for the plaintiffs had asked to see Scott’s phone records about the festival, as well as papers related to his company, XX Global Inc., and key employees like Cactus Jack general manager David Stromberg.

Travis Scott and his team are said to have not given the requested papers, so the plaintiff’s side filed an emergency motion.

According to a transcript of the meeting that Rolling Stone got, Scott’s lawyer, Steve Brody, said that one of the plaintiff’s lawyers, Noah Wexler, had sent him a draft of the emergency motion before filing an official motion just five hours later, giving him little time to respond.

Lawyers for the plaintiff said in a move that Scott’s side had not shared any texts, WeChat messages, videos, or photos from their phones, even though they existed.

The motion said that Scott’s lawyers didn’t send the requested information because they didn’t want to follow the court’s order.
