Taylor Swift’s name has been temporarily blacklisted by X, previously Twitter, in light of the ongoing AI deepfake debate.

The 34-year-old singer cannot be entered into the app’s search field; an error notice reads, “Something went wrong. “Try reloading” after searching.

According to Billboard, Swift’s official X account remains accessible.

It comes after racy, A.I.-generated photographs of the Grammy winner went popular on the social media site earlier this week.

Though Taylor hasn’t commented on the photographs, a source told the Daily Mail that the pop star is mulling legal action against the perpetrators to prevent the same thing from happening to other women.

“The door needs to be shut on this,” they argued.

Internet users also blasted the practice, prompting SAG-AFTRA and the White House to issue condemnations.

The actor’s union denounced the image as “upsetting,” “harmful,” and “deeply concerning”.

On Friday, Jan. 26, they issued a statement saying, “The development and dissemination of fake images—especially those of a lewd nature—without someone’s consent must be made illegal.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed concern over the spread of fraudulent photographs.
