Gisele Bündchen is mourning the loss of her mother, Vania Nonnenmacher, who apparently died.

According to Brazilian site GZH, the 75-year-old was admitted to Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where she died from cancer on Sunday, Jan. 28.

According to the outlet, the tribute for the retired Banco do Brasil employee will take place on Monday in the Ecumenical Chapel of the Metropolitan Crematorium in Porto Alegre’s Azenha neighbourhood.

A farewell ceremony will be place shortly afterwards.

Vania is survived by her six daughters: Gisele, her twin sister Patricia, Rafaela, Graziela, Gabriela, and Raquel.

The 43-year-old model has yet to openly address her loss; yet, she appears to have a close bond with her mother.

Gisele shared an emotional letter on Instagram in July 2022, along with a carousel of images, to celebrate Vania’s 74th birthday.

“Happy birthday, Mom! “I am forever grateful for everything you have done and continue to do for us,” she wrote at the time.

“Thank you for always loving, inspiring and teaching us. Thank you for giving me life! Love you so much!” The model has been added.
