‘Mr. Bean’ Rowan Atkinson’s Crazy Love of Aston Martins and Land Rovers

Rowan Atkinson, best known for his role as Mr. Bean in the popular British sitcom of the same name, appears to have a ‘thing’ for Aston Martins and Land Rovers in real life, but he is saying goodbye to one of his most favourite automobiles.

He is known for his love of vehicles, as seen by the British actor’s request to Iconic Auctioneers to look specifically for Land Rover Defender 110 Heritage Editions from 2015 to 2016.

Now, the English actor and comedian plans to bid on the model at the Iconic Auctioneers Race Retro Sale on February 24 in Stoneleigh, England.

Atkinson’s automobile is projected to fetch between $82,400 and $101,400 at the auction in Stoneleigh Park.

Nick Whale, chairman of Iconic Auditioneers, expressed Atkinson’s love in automobiles, stating: “Rowan Atkinson is a well-known petrolhead and Land Rover enthusiast, so this vehicle has been cherished and lightly used as part of his personal collection.”

The 69-year-old actor was photographed driving his small green Mini about his neighbourhood; on the show, he formed an indefinite attachment with his car.

Given the character’s affinity for cars, his love of Defenders is not entirely surprising.

In addition, Atkinson was frequently seen driving his green Mini while playing the titular character on his famous sitcom.
