The 3rd Environment Conservation Fair is set to be organised at Nehru Rose Garden on February 3-4. The event will be organised by the Society for Conservation and Healing of Environment (SOCH), an NGO, in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana.
Major attractions
- The fair will feature over 100 stalls addressing diverse aspects of environmental protection.
- 10 awards worth Rs 5 lakh will be given to Gram Panchayats, NGOs, individuals, students, etc. who have done commendable work in various fields.
MC’s Zonal Commissioner Jasdev Singh Sekhon appealed to the residents to visit the fair, which is focusing on the protection of the environment. He said teams from various institutes will demonstrate technologies to prevent environmental degradation. The aim is to educate visitor about different aspects of environmental protection.
Balwinder Singh Lakhewali, SOCH representative, said that the fair will feature over 100 stalls. Various activities required to save the environment and future generations would be showcased at these stalls.
According to the administration, 10 awards worth Rs 5 lakh will be given during the fair for commendable work in various fields.
