PHILIPPI, W.Va. (WV News) — As Philippi Main Street gears up for their annual events, they have put a call out to artists of any age who would like to take part in their annual Art Stroll.
Young artists made their mark during the 2023 Philippi Main Street’s Art Stroll by taking part in creating sidewalk chalk designs.
“Whether you’re a visual, musical, performing, fabric, or literary artist, we want you to be part of Philippi Main Street’s annual Art Stroll Friday, April 26 from 5-8 pm in downtown Philippi,” says a spokesperson for the Art Stroll Planning Committee.
Local visual artist Sondra Guire was just one of many who took part in last year’s Art Stroll. Organizers have said it was probably the most diverse in the brief history of the spring evening event.
A juggler from a nearby community helped to entertain guests of the 2023 Art Stroll in downtown Philippi, West Virginia. In addition to this talented tosser, the evening was filled with visual arts, fabric arts, stitching arts, hand-painted china, wood works, an antique button collection, literary arts, nature’s arrangements, jewelry creations, street side art, and more.
