It’s been a rough stretch for Missouri basketball in Southeastern Conference play, but Wednesday’s rivalry matchup versus Arkansas at Mizzou Arena presents the opportunity to come away victorious in league play.
After falling to South Carolina for the second time this season, Missouri sits at 8-12 and 0-7 in the SEC. The consistency issues arose at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina as MU showed promise but couldn’t close out the game against one of the hottest teams in the SEC.

Arkansas (10-10, 1-6) has experienced its frustrations just like the Tigers after making the NCAA Tournament a season ago.
The Razorbacks started the 2023-24 season as the nation’s No. 14 team while knocking off No. 7 Duke in late November. Eric Musselman’s squad entered SEC play at 9-5, but their lone league win came at home against Texas A&M on a last second shot by Tramon Mark.
Since then, the Razorbacks fell to South Carolina by 13 points before getting beat by Mississippi by 26 on the road. Most recently on Saturday, Jan. 27, Arkansas fought hard, but fell to No. 6 Kentucky 63-57 at home.
Both teams come into Wednesday’s matchup searching to build momentum for the remaining part of the season. Only one team can come out on top.
