SRK REACTS TO ‘JAWAN’ DIALOGUE WRITER’S TWEET

Sumit Arora, the dialogue writer of the 2023 blockbuster ‘Jawan’, has kept a piece of the film not just in his heart but also a part of his house wall! On X, he shared a glimpse of a ‘baap se baat kar’ poster that adorned one of his walls. Sharing the same, Sumit wrote, “When your dialogue becomes part of your home décor #Jawan (sic).”

The tweet got SRK’s attention and he reshared it. Sharing the same, the superstar posted, “Maine bhi socha tha teri lines ek deewar par lagaunga. Itne lambe lambe lambe dialogues hain tere….itni lambi deewar hi nahi hai ghar mein!!! (sic) (I had also thought of putting your lines on a wall. But your dialogues are so long, there is not a wall long enough in my house!).”

WHEN ‘JAWAN’ WRITER WROTE OPEN LETTER FOR SRK

In September 2023, Sumit Arora shared a lengthy post on X (formerly Twitter) while praising Shah Rukh Khan’s on-screen charisma and his camaraderie with others.

He recalled working with the actor and wrote, “The last three years have been incredibly beautiful and memorable in more ways than one. Writing dialogues for this super special film, working with a powerhouse filmmaker, working with an immensely dedicated team who put in their ALL in the film and then… this beautiful man Shah Rukh Khan.”

“I don’t know if I will be able to say anything new apart from what has already been said about him. But all I can say is, that he is just the magic of a person. A walking talking bundle of love. Anybody who meets him comes back feeling special. He is a star who not only shines bright but also spreads his stardust onto you. I have been privileged to watch his magic so up close, both, in front of the camera, and off the camera. And there has been just so much to learn (sic),” he added.

SRK’S REPLY TO SUMIT

Touched by Sumit’s beautiful words, Shah Rukh Khan replied, “Abhi bhi lamba hi likha hai. Sankshipt beta sankshipt (Even now you’ve written it quite long. Brief, my friend, be brief) The ability to invest love in ur creativity but not fall in love with it is the greatest quality a writer can possess. U have been a pillar of strength thru the making of #Jawan & ur dialogues made the film memorable. Love u (sic).”
