Live updates: Caitlin Clark, No. 4 Iowa women’s basketball at Northwestern

Caitlin Clark and No. 4 Iowa women’s basketball embark on a mini road trip this week.

They’ll end the week Saturday on the road at Maryland, but first up is a Wednesday night matchup at Northwestern on Peacock. The game tips off at 7 p.m. and is a prime opportunity for the Hawkeyes (19-2, 8-1 Big Ten) to remain in contention for the Big Ten Conference regular-season title. Iowa bounced back on Saturday with a 92-73 win over Nebraska, while the Wildcats (7-13, 2-7) are near the bottom of the conference and have lost four of their last six contests.

The highlight of the evening will likely be Clark moving up to third place on the NCAA women’s basketball all-time scoring leaderboard. After notching 38 points in her previous outing, she currently trails Jackie Stiles by just four points and could surpass the mark in the first quarter.
