Unlike anywhere else in the immediate area, Koger Center provides a variety of programming each year ranging from Broadway in Columbia to musical performances, professional ballets, and much more.

Enjoy a special variety of performances in Koger Center Presents series

Staff at Koger Center for the Arts in Columbia works diligently to provide a variety of performances to the Midlands and beyond.

The Koger Center Presents series is a specially selected group of performances that cater to all ages and backgrounds. Kicking off with The Four Phantoms musical performance, Koger Center Asst. Director Karen Magradey walks us through the Koger Center Presents lineup that’s meant to enrich lives through live performances.

Live performances include regular performances from the SC Philharmonic, USC students, and ColaJazz Foundation. Founder Mark Rapp shares how jazz impacts the community and the work that goes into bringing big names to the Soda City.

Creating a well-rounded cultural experience at Koger Center

The Koger Center for the Arts is just that. A place where everyone can experience art!

You may associate the center with live performances, and that’s certainly right. However, staff puts a big emphasis on visual art, too!

Work from local, regional, and renowned artists can be found throughout Koger Center in both permanent and temporary displays.

Artist Philip Mullen, whose work can be found downstairs outside the auditorium, explains how his paintings were chosen as the permanent display and why Koger Center originally decided not to feature visual art when it was founded.

Upstairs, emerging artist Wilma King shares excitement over her newly featured collection of memoir-style paintings and offers advice to other emerging artists at all ages.

Big things coming this season at Koger Center

Koger Center for the Arts is always working to bring fresh, new performances to the Midlands.
