SOL de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is a best seller and cult classic beauty product – but I think the brand’s latest launch is even better.

Sol de Janeiro has just released its new Delicia Drench Body Butter and luckily for me, I got my hands on it as soon as it launched, and I’m completely obsessed.

Delicia Drench is a super-rich body cream enriched with Bacuri butter and prebiotic hibiscus, designed to deeply nourish and replenish dry skin, making it especially comforting in this cold weather.

It’s available to buy exclusively at Space NK until 1 February (when it then hits other retailers) and costs £21 for a 75ml tub.

However, new Space NK customers can get 15% off their first order with the code FIRST15, taking the price down to £17.85 – and I think it’s worth every penny.

When I first tried this product, I admit that my first impressions were that it wasn’t for me.

As someone who wears leggings for 90% of my waking life, I hate body creams that take ages to soak in or leave my limbs feeling clammy or sticky.

And this new Sol de Janeiro body butter is seriously rich – a solid, whipped cream that even feels heavy in the pot.

If Bum Bum Cream is like custard in its consistency, Delicia Drench is like thick vanilla buttercream.

I was expecting it to sit on my skin for hours, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it soak in almost immediately – no white marks, no greasiness, just skin that felt soft and smooth for hours.

Sol de Janeiro products are also known for their iconic exotic scents, and Delicia Drench is no exception.

The fragrance in this new product is called Cheirosa 59 and is a warm, creamy scent of vanilla orchid, sugared violet and sandalwood – it’s very similar to Bum Bum Cream’s Cheirosa 62 fragrance but a little less caramel-y and a little more vanilla-y.

I found that I could smell it on my body for ages, but also that it wasn’t quite as overpoweringly sweet as Cheirosa 62.

Overall I’m super impressed with Sol de Janeiro’s Delicia Drench Body Butter – I know I’ll use up every last drop.

The downside is that it’s expensive for a body cream but I would purchase it again, especially if I see an offer on it.
