Study shows Flagstaff’s nonprofit arts and culture industry generates $85.6 million in total economic activity


In 2022, Americans for the Arts conducted a study to measure the economic and social impact of arts and culture in cities around the country.

The results in Flagstaff indicate that the industry is a significant driver of economic activity, generating $85.6 million in FY 2022 between 49 participating nonprofit organizations and their audiences. According to the study, those expenditures supported 1,062 jobs, provided $43.5 million in personal income to residents and produced $12.7 million in tax revenue to local, state and federal governments.
