LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The town of Leland hosted an open house at the Leland Cultural Arts Center on Saturday. 

Residents and visitors got the chance to learn from several instructors offering training sessions in photography, arts and crafts, dancing, and much more.  

The open house has previously been held once a year, but the town has now expanded the event to a spring and summer session. 

Recreation Supervisor Kirsti Armstrong said the goal of the event is to engage people with the range of local programs and culture the town has to offer. 

“We have a bunch of instructors here, and they are doing demos and activities with the community to kind of learn about the new programs that we have, some of our old programs, and just have a fun day,” Armstrong said. 

If you missed yesterday’s open house, the town will be hosting another one at the Leland Cultural Arts Center in August this year.
