The Sandra Bullock Film Is the Most Requested Title on Netflix

Sandra Bullock has been praised for all of the parts she has played, but movies like Speed, The Proposal, and The Blind Side from 2009 were her big breaks.

Bullock was in it. The Blind Side is still the most-rented DVD from Netflix’s mail-in DVD service, even though we live in a digital age. The streaming giant just announced, after about 25 years, that it will end its DVD mail-in service.

The 2009 sports drama is based on the true story of homeless kid Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron), who is taken in by a rich white couple, Leigh Anne (Sandra Bullock) and Sean Tuohy (Tim McGraw), who let him follow his dream of playing for the NFL.

The former NFL player filed a complaint against the Tuohy family, accusing them of lying about the adoption story and tricking him into a conservatorship that gave them control over his money and let them make profitable business deals in his name.

He says that after the movie came out in 2009, the couple used his name to make “millions” of dollars.

The Tuohys denied the charges in this case, but in a court filing seen by People, they said that they called Oher their son “in the colloquial sense” and that “there was never an intent to adopt him.”
