Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the opening night of the Nicolaysen Art Museum’s dynamic new exhibition, “Women in Wyoming,” the result of a many years-long effort by the photographer and podcaster, Lindsay Linton Buk, to identify and highlight the stories of exceptional women leaders throughout the state.
The exhibition is a “must see” for anyone who wants to understand how the work of women has enriched the state in ways both large and small, in every area of community life, business, government, culture and the arts. As someone not native to Wyoming, I found myself moved by the efforts of women who are breaking boundaries, rising to challenges and pioneering new modes of leadership across sectors of business, law, art, ranching, medicine, culture and more.
