Travis Barker Admits to Suffering Trigeminal Neuralgia

Travis Barker recently talked about how he had to deal with an attack of a facial nerve disease.

Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that causes “sudden, severe facial pain,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes. The Blink-182 drummer said that he had an episode of it lately.

The drummer’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, is about to have their first child.

Trigeminal neuralgia can cause intense pain, usually on one side of the face, that can last for a short time or a long time. Feelings of numbness, pain, or heat are also signs.

The page says that trigeminal neuralgia can also be caused by multiple sclerosis and other diseases. But most of the time, nerve loss or lesions are to blame.

Travis, who is 47 years old, has been open about his struggles with the condition. In 2017, he said that he recommends acupuncture to other people who have it.

Even so, Travis had other health problems in the last few days while his band was taking a break from a tour of Europe.

“Last week I had covid, an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, and a root canal,” the singer wrote on X, which used to be called Twitter. “Which means I can pretty much handle anything god throws at me.”
