While Kanye West was concurrently celebrating his most recent accomplishment on Spotify, he took a shot at Taylor Swift.
The rapper, who is 45 years old, did not care about subtlety when he uploaded a screenshot from a tweet from Daily Loud, in which he asserted that West has “overtaken Taylor Swift as the top artist globally on Spotify.”
Not only did the post include a photo collage of the two individuals, but it also included a photograph of West’s name shining brightly at the top of the chart, followed by the Lover singer’s name.
On the other hand, rumours indicate that Taylor has once again dethroned the Power rapper by taking the number one slot in the iTunes chart.
Fans turned to X, which was then known as Twitter, to voice their disapproval of the hijinks that the Yeezy mogul has been engaging in.
According to the words of one user, “He knows she makes him famous that’s why he keeps talking about her.”
Another individual remarked, “It’s incredibly crazy the ability he has to set himself up lol.”
The public argument that took place between West and Swift about a decade ago, which also implicated the former’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, has been a source of contention between the two artists.
The Grammy winner was mentioned by the Donda rapper in one of the lyrics of his song Carnival, which was included on his most recent album, Vultures, which was released in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. This rekindled their long-standing rivalry.
