Amelia Spencer Says Princess Diana Inspired Her Wedding Dress

According to Express.co.uk, Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer got married to her longtime boyfriend, Greg Mallett, on March 21, 2023.

The ceremony took place at Quoin Rock Manor House, which is on top of a mountain in South Africa’s Western Cape wine region.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Hello! magazine showed off the wedding dress for the ceremony. It was made by Atelier Versace and took two and a half months to make.

Even though the dress was beautiful and elegant, it also had a “special connection” to her aunt Diana, who died when Amelia was only five years old in 1997. She said that her late aunt, who was a close friend of Gianni Versace and wore his clothes, would have liked her choice of designer.

Amelia told the outlet, “I think she would be very proud to see me on my wedding day.” “I know that the Versace family also loves Diana very much, so we have a very special bond.”

Her dress was made from custom silk rebrodé lace and had a two-and-a-half-meter train, Swarovski crystals, a hand-embroidered neckline, structured shoulders, and intricate flower patterns all over.

Also, it came with a beautiful fine silk tulle veil that was five meters long and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Amelia said this about her beautiful dress: “It’s the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen. Working with Versace has been the best thing I’ve ever done. Everyone on their team was as good as an angel.”

“I’m the luckiest girl in the world,” she said.

Lady Eliza, her twin sister, was the maid of honor. She wore a custom-made pale pink silk satin slip dress by Versace.
