After a member of Kate Middleton’s staff quit last year, a PR expert was asked to become her private secretary. However, she turned down the job.

The Telegraph says that the mom of three offered the job to 51-year-old Alison Corfield, who was working for celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, but she turned it down.

According to the outlet’s sources, Corfield didn’t like the idea of having such a high-profile job and decided to stay out of the spotlight instead.

The source told the outlet, “She loves the work and is an integral member of the campaigning team.”

“She decided she just wanted to keep her head down and get on with the job she knows so well in the background. She didn’t want the publicity that comes with working at that level for such a well-known institution.”

Hannah Cockburn-Logie was the Princess’s last private secretary. She was always by her side for two and a half years, but she quit for personal reasons soon after Queen Elizabeth II died last September.

Cockburn-Logie had been called one of Kate’s most reliable friends in the past. Even the way she was hired was different from what they usually do. Usually, they hire assistants from the civil service and government ministries.
