J-Hope Takes to the Streets to Celebrate ‘Hope Day’ During Military Service

On Sunday, February 18, BTS’ J-Hope visited fans around Seoul to display celebratory billboards and banners in honor of his 30th birthday.

The South Korean rapper took to Instagram, sharing a series of photos and videos on his Stories. He included the latter into his writings, writing “HAPPY,” “HOPE,” and “DAY” on each in turn.

The videos included birthday banners and billboards throughout Seoul’s Seongsu-dong district. The K-pop idol flaunted his birthday celebrations, which were organized by his loving army all around the world.

The final image of the three featured J-Hope, dressed subtly in a denim jacket and black beanie.

The 30-year-old rapper was dapper, striking a pose in his circular semi-black glasses and an all-black mask.

BTS members, including J-Hope, joined in the military in December 2023. The Dynamite star began his required military duty on April 18, 2023.

He is presently working as a training instructor in the Baekho Recruit Training Battalion, 36th Infantry Division in Wonju, Gangwon province.

The rapper is slated to be released from the military on October 17.
