Sophie Turner’s Attempts to Discredit Joe Jonas in Court Have Been Called ‘Worthless’

Sophie Turner’s attempt to expose Joe Jonas’s deception through her lawsuit may have been futile.

An insider informed Page Six on Friday that Sophie Turner’s bombshell letter to the courts revealing Joe Jonas’ “intention” to move into their UK “forever home” with their children will ultimately amount to nothing legally.

The source described Turner’s move as an attempt to “pique the attention of reporters,” adding that “[the letter] won’t actually be material to determine legal residency.”

Last week, the Game of Thrones actress filed a letter with the courts in which her estranged husband gushed about the Oxford mansion in Turner’s home country of the United Kingdom, which they supposedly agreed to buy before he filed for divorce.

“We can envision our children growing up here and making this our forever home,” the What a Man Gotta Do singer wrote in his buyer’s letter to the homeowners.

The letter, which allegedly persuaded the homeowners to accept their £750,000 ($914,130) offer, comes amid a contentious custody battle between the separated couple, which began with Turner suing the Jonas Brothers vocalist for “abducting” their daughters, three-year-old Willa and one-year-old Delphine, by denying them passports.

The former Disney star, who was watching the kids while Turner was filming a new movie, denied the allegations.

Since then, an interim consent order has mandated that the children remain in the UK until the couple can finalize their divorce.

As more information regarding the controversial home becomes available, a source told Page Six that the house is in escrow and the sale “never closed.”

“Intention, expressed in a letter or otherwise, does not equal residency. Actions do,” said the insider.
