1 flown to Morgantown after being hit by a car in Lumberport


LUMBERPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — One person had to be flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown on Monday after they were reportedly struck by a car.

According to an official with the Harrison County 911 Center, at around 3:15 p.m., emergency crews were alerted to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Main Street in Lumberport. HealthNet Aeromedical Services was called to fly the pedestrian out, and their condition is unknown at this time.

The official said that the driver of the vehicle stayed behind and no other injuries were reported.

Crews from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison County EMS and the Lumberport Fire Department responded to the call.
