The City of Coconut Creek invites residents and visitors to celebrate its anniversary with an exciting day filled with live entertainment, children’s amusements, food and beverage concessions, and a spectacular fireworks display.
This year’s celebration is gearing up to be an unforgettable experience for the whole family, showcasing local talent, businesses, and the vibrant culture of Coconut Creek.
The festivities are scheduled to kick off on Saturday, February 24, 2024, with a business expo from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring a variety of local businesses, organizations, and crafters.
Music lovers are in for a treat with a lineup of performers starting at 2:00 p.m. with Ricky Valido, a rising star in the country music scene and a local favorite.
Following his performance, the stage will welcome a series of local performers at 3:15 p.m., offering a taste of the diverse talents within the community.
One of the afternoon’s highlights will surely be the City of Coconut Creek Police Department’s K-9 demonstration at 3:30 p.m. This exciting showcase will give attendees a closer look at the skillful coordination between officers and their canine partners.
Adding a tropical flair to the event, the Aloha Islanders will bring their Polynesian show to the stage at 5:00 p.m., promising an engaging performance filled with the islands’ spirit. As the evening progresses, the featured act, 24K Magic, a Bruno Mars Tribute band, will take the stage at 6:30 p.m., setting the mood for a night of singing and dancing under the stars.
The night will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks at 8:00 p.m., lighting up the sky in a vibrant celebration of the city’s anniversary.
Attendees are reminded that no golf carts, pets, or tents will be allowed at the event to ensure safety and enjoyment for all. However, the city has made provisions for a free bicycle valet station at Sabal Pines Park, promoting eco-friendly transportation options.
For those driving to the event, please note that there will be no public parking available at Sabal Pines Park, with limited handicapped parking only.
Free parking with a complimentary shuttle service will be offered at the Butterfly Parking Lot, 5280 NW 40th Street, directly east of the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.
The shuttle service will run from 1:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., ensuring attendees can quickly come and go. Additional handicapped parking will be available in Sabal Pines Park’s north parking lot, with overflow parking at Winston Park Elementary School.
