GARDNER, Kan. (KCTV) – A series of dangerous events led to the shutdown of Interstate 35 at Gardner Road early Tuesday morning.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call just after 4 a.m.
A semi-truck carrying car batteries caught fire in the northbound lanes shutting down that thoroughfare as emergency crews were called in. The flames were quickly extinguished and the driver was not hurt.
In the southbound lanes of I-35, a car rolled. The driver got out and was not seriously injured.
Police are investigating how it all happened.
An ambulance was called but no one was transported.
