1 injured in flipped car crash in Wellesley

Wellesley, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – One person was taken to the hospital after an unusual car crash across the state in Wellesley.

Photos of the crash shared by the Wellesley Police Department show a red Audi A4A wedged between two cars in a grocery store parking lot.

According to Wellesley Police, the Audi started in a parking space, sped over a median after mistaking the gas for the brake and drove “up onto a parked car before sliding off into that final resting position.”

The driver of the car had to be rescued but is expected to be ok.

No one was inside either of the parked cars. A tow truck was able to remove the wedged vehicle.
