Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Appear to Have Similar Style

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle may not agree on a lot of things, but when they go to formal events, they both wear dresses by the same designer.

The two are known for their fashion sense, and it looks like they have turned to French fashion designer Roland Mouret, who is known for making classic and elegant clothes, for their special events.

Over the years, the designer has dressed both women for a number of events, like red carpets and royal tours.

Kate was last seen wearing a green Mouret to the men’s final at Wimbledon. She also wore a striking monochrome gown to the London opening of Top Gun: Maverick, a softly tailored plum-colored pantsuit to a day of events in Boston, and an asymmetric green day dress to the Wimbledon championships, according to Newsweek.

In May 2018, Meghan wore an asymmetric skirt dress by the same designer to the Clivedon House Hotel.

Miranda Holder, an expert on royal fashion, told Newsweek that the two women were drawn to the designer because “Roland Mouret is a natural choice for any woman in the royal fold, as his collections—the dresses in particular—are perfectly suited to their requirements.”

The stylist thought that Mouret choices were the “perfect answer to the ‘I don’t know what to wear’ conundrum.”

Holder went on to say, “His designs are an exquisite combination of formal and occasion. Lending themselves to a diverse range of royal appointments and thanks to the understated but oh so chic silhouette, the wearer, whether she is Kate, Meghan, Nicole Kidman or Victoria Beckham, would never feel out of place.”
