ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Centers Health Care presented a check to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier this afternoon to celebrate its 27 years of existence.
The check was presented on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at noon at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier headquarters by Corning Center’s Administrator Kayleigh Smith.
Through its Centers Care initiative, the healthcare system donated a $2,700 check to the food bank for all that they do for the community in the Southern Tier.
The Food Bank of the Southern Tier was chosen for the donation among six other non-profits by a vote that took place at a variety of Centers Health Care locations.
Centers Health Care is the largest network of skilled nursing, rehabilitation and senior care in the Northeast, with locations in New York and New Jersey. The closest location to the Southern Tier is located at 205 East First Street in Corning.
