Bicyclist injured after being struck by car in Bradford County


SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) — A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after police say they were hit by a vehicle in Sayre on Saturday.

According to the Sayre Police Department, a 21-year-old Sayre man sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car at the intersection of Mohawk Street and North Wilbur Avenue on Saturday, Feb. 17 around noon.

Police say that the cyclist was going north on North Wilbur Avenue and didn’t stop at a stop sign before crossing into Mohawk Street where he was hit by the car.

The cyclist was taken to Robert Packer Hospital by Greater Valley EMS with serious injuries, his current status is unknown at this time.

Police add that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
