The Valley View/Tri-Valley Lions Club honored Iris Stehr as February 2024 Outstanding Student of the Arts at the group’s Feb. 19 meeting.

The Tri-Valley High School senior was selected for her talent in visual art. A daughter of Chad and April Stehr, she resides in Pitman. During the meeting she shared art projects she created.

She has participated in softball, Art Club, and Fiber Arts Club. Her activities outside of school include softball, gym, art, and employed at Top Star.  After graduation Iris plans to open a pottery and coffee shop.

At the same meeting, the club hosted Pennsylvania Dairy Princess Alexis Butler of Pine Grove. She gave a presentation on the Pennsylvania dairy industry and what her role as dairy princess encompasses.
