Three locals qualify for state
Franklin junior Austin Clark headed up a group of three Johnson County divers to secure berths at Saturday’s state meet with top-eight finishes at the Jasper Regional on Tuesday night. Clark posted an 11-round score of 444.65, the best mark of his career and good for fourth place on the evening; New Albany’s Colin Kruer outpaced the field with a winning total of 511.25.
Indian Creek junior Skyler Jasper (373.60) was seventh and Whiteland senior Noah Grady (363.75) was eighth. Those two and Clark will dive in the state preliminaries Saturday morning at IU Natatorium, with the top 20 advancing to semifinals and then the top 16 to the afternoon finals.

Cougars pick up road win
Max Booher’s 24 points helped lead Greenwood Christian to a 55-43 victory at Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday. Jordan Taulman added 16 points for the Cougars (13-7), while Noah Reed scored six and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
