Music adds joy to our world

Music adds joy to our world. It is universal.  It has been around since prehistoric times, indicated by the discoveries of bone flutes and percussion instruments.  Then when language developed, words were put to the music and song was born. Dancing is an adjunct to it all.

Our great-granddaughter visited recently at our house.  We were laughing about how her mother (our granddaughter) used to entertain us with her dancing when she was little.  My husband had a CD called “Silly Songs” that she loved.  When he put it on, especially “Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor on the Bedpost Every Night,” she would start twirling and putting on a show. We could sit for hours watching her.
