Springfield-Greene County Health Department resumes its pollen count

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Springfield-Greene County Health Department resumed its pollen count on Monday.

Every weekday, the department plans to publish the numbers of what in the air could be causing your allergies to flair up.Monday’s largest pollen count came from trees, with juniper being the biggest culprit. It’s about the same as what we saw around last year.

The health department says pollen from grasses, trees, and weeds are most often the ones causing allergies.

The pollen count will continue until Springfield experiences its first heavy frost next fall or winter.
