March is Minnesota FoodShare Month, and the Buffalo Food Shelf is among local food shelves looking for support during the month.
The Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign is the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state, bringing together various community organizations, businesses and faith communities to help stock some 300 food shelves across the state.
During the campaign, food shelves weigh all food donations and track dollar donations designated for the March Campaign. The figures are then reported to Minnesota FoodShare which will match a percentage of the available dollars from it’s “Food Fund.”
To donate to the Buffalo Food Shelf during the March Campaign, food donations may be dropped off at the food shelf at 301 12th Avenue South in Buffalo on Tuesdays and Thursdaya from 5 to 7:45 PM, and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Monetary donations are also accepted and appreciated, and may be sent to P. O. Box 222, Buffalo, MN 55313. PayPal and credit card donations may also be made at; www.buffalofoodshelf.com.
Similar donations are going on at numerous other food shelves in the Wright County area as well. Check with your local food shelf location for donation details.
