Elizabeth Debicki from ‘The Crown’ Goes Shoeless to Accept SAG Award

Elizabeth Debicki, known for her portrayal of Princess Diana in The Crown, was absolutely taken aback by her win at the SAG Awards on Saturday.

The actress was surprised when her name was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series award.

Debicki’s face was filled with surprise as she approached the stage.

Her heels were uncomfortable, so she kicked them off before taking the stage.

“I am not wearing shoes right now,” she began her acceptance speech, adding, “I don’t really know what to say, so I’m just gonna wing it.”

Debicki expressed thanks for the win, recognizing her fellow candidates Jennifer Aniston, Bella Ramsey, Keri Russell, and Sarah Snook, as she accepted the prized medal for her depiction of Lady Diana in the critically acclaimed Netflix series.

Debicki commented that it was fantastic for her to be nominated with ladies from whom she had learned her profession by observing them.

Before departing the stage, the actress ended her statement with a birthday greeting to her mother, as her surprise victory coincided with her mother’s celebration.
