Bradley Cooper Appreciates His Daughter for Giving Him a New Purpose in Life

Bradley Cooper recently discussed the enormous impact his daughter, Lea De Seine, has had on his life.

Cooper admitted in a candid interview with podcast host Dax Shepard on Armchair Expert that he believes he would not be alive today if he had not become a father.

“Honestly, I’m not sure I’d be alive if I wasn’t a dad,” Cooper said, reflecting on his path. He viewed his daughter’s birth as a watershed moment in his life, giving him a feeling of purpose and stability that he had previously lacked.

“I just needed someone to say, ‘We’re gonna drop this massive anchor,’” Cooper explained, using a metaphor to describe his daughter’s good impact on his life.

He also talked about his first concerns about fatherhood, confessing that for the first eight months, he questioned his capacity to completely embrace the role.

He did, however, underline the transformational effect of parenthood, telling how his early doubt gave way to intense love and dedication.

The emotional sensitivity of the Star Is Born actor struck a chord with listeners, spurring discussions about the enormous influence parenthood can have on people, particularly those going through personal challenges.

While the Maestro star did not go into specifics regarding his previous struggles, his candor shed light on the transformational power of family and the special bond between parent and kid.

Cooper remarked in another podcast session that he felt obligated to improve himself as a father because he wanted “to do the least amount of damage that I could do to my daughter.”
