Prince William’s ‘Significant’ Move Is ‘Worrying’ for Kate Middleton’s Health

Prince William made an unusual move by pulling out of a major royal function just an hour before it began.

On Tuesday, Queen Camilla led the memorial service for King Constantine II, Greece’s last king and King Charles’ second cousin, at Windsor Castle.

While the king would be unable to attend the service owing to cancer treatment, the Prince of Wales, Constantine’s godson, was scheduled to offer a eulogy at St George’s Chapel.

Kensington Palace provided no additional information on William’s absence, and royal sources stated that Kate Middleton was “doing well” at home while she recovered from stomach surgery last month.

The future king’s abrupt action raised concerns because it was an important event for him.

According to royal critic Sarah Hewson, the late King of Greece was Prince William’s “godfather, the second cousin of the King, a close friend of the King, first cousin once removed of Prince Phillip” and his “sailing partner.”

“There are very good close ties between these two families, and members of the Royal Family don’t like to pull out,” she went on to say. “They don’t like to let people down at the last minute, and they certainly wouldn’t have wanted that public announcement that he’d had to pull out, either because of the questions it stands to raise.”

However, despite assurances from royal sources concerning Kate, Princess of Wales’s health, many people remain skeptical that William’s absence was unrelated to her.

Royal biographer Phil Dampier told MailOnline that the relocation was “worrying” because William lives “only a stone’s throw away, so it’s very concerning.”
