Justina Machado Collaborates with Zoe Robyn and Carlton Cuse for ‘Pulse’

Justina Machado has joined Pulse producers as the show’s first series regular cast member.

Netflix Tudum announced on Thursday that the video streaming company has entered the medical procedural genre with its first original series, created by Zoe Robyn and Carlton Cuse, respectively.

The duo will also serve as showrunners and executive producers for the first procedural medical drama series.

In the film The Horror of Dolores Roach, she will play Natalie Cruz, a clever and politically astute doctor who combines her expertise in administration and medicine.

Machado, 51, will star as the chair of surgery and emergency medicine in Netflix’s original series.

Furthermore, Pulse’s storyline follows the lives of the dedicated staff at Miami’s busiest level-one trauma center as they deal with both medical emergencies and complex personal drama.

The series will primarily focus on Dani Simms, a young ER doctor.

Following her surprise appointment to chief resident, see how she will handle the fallout from her own tumultuous romantic engagement.
