Taylor Swift Previews the ‘Reputation’ Rerecord in a Startling Peek

Taylor Swift has been providing subtle indications about her upcoming Reputation (Taylor’s Version) album since late last year.

However, the latest glimpse of the rerecord comes from an unexpected source: the new Apple TV+ docuseries The Dynasty: New England Patriots, according to People Magazine.

When former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola discusses quarterback Tom Brady’s recovery during the Deflategate issue, the song Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version) can be heard in the background of the video.

The dispute stems from the Indianapolis Colts’ accusations that the Patriots used underinflated footballs in the 2015 AFC Championship Game.

“The king is back.” Here he goes. “Watch him get pissed off and go,” Amendola, 38, says in the docuseries, while the rerecorded song plays in the background.

The song’s preview was first heard last summer in the Amazon Original Wilderness teaser.

Swift had been on a quest to reissue her earlier albums until 2014, in an effort to reclaim ownership of her music after her former record label sold the archive to Scooter Braun.

Swift has already released new recordings of her albums 1989, Red, Speak Now, and Fearless. Reputation is the final album to be rerecorded.

While the exact release date is unknown, the Grammy-winning musician plans to release her 11th original studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19th, 2024.
