With ‘Honeymoon,’ Lana Del Rey Has Amassed 1 Billion Streams

Honeymoon, the album released by American musician Lana Del Rey, has finally surpassed one billion streams since its release. This accomplishment is tied to her fifth studio album at this point.

Her fourth studio album, Honeymoon, was released in September 2015 and was her most recent release. The album moved away from the heavier guitar instrumentals that were featured on her previous album Ultraviolet and instead focused more on baroque pop as its primary musical direction.

When the album was first made available, it was met with favorable reviews from music critics. Many people considered it her best album up until that point. In addition to being included on a number of lists of the year’s best albums, it went on to achieve commercial success across the world in places such as Ireland, Greece, and Australia.

In addition, it reached the top five charts in over twenty different countries, one of which was the United States, where it debuted on the Billboard 200 at number two.
