Northbound lanes of Second Street Bridge closed after pedestrian hit by car


LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A pedestrian was hit and killed on the Second Street Bridge on Thursday morning.

According to MetroSafe, the call came in around 6:30 a.m. of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on the Second Street bridge.

All northbound lanes are closed, and only one southbound lane is open at this time.

It is unclear at this time how long the lanes will be closed.

According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, LMPD is also working another fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate 64 eastbound, near Slugger Field.

Traffic is being affected in both areas.
