ELLSWORTH — The Annual Hancock County Food Drive kicks off March 30th at participating grocery stroes across the county.
According to a release from Healthy Acadia, Food Drive volunteers will be dressed in fruit and vegetable costumes, and stationed outside grocery stores across the county to collect food donations, raise funds, and rally excitement for the Food Drive, which runs through April 30, 2024.
This year, seventeen partner organizations are collaborating to raise $50,000, which will provide 100,000 meals for Hancock County residents. Community members can support the Food Drive through online donations at www.hcfooddrive.org, and by donating food at one of the sites listed online.
