Three Harbors Boy Scouts ‘Scouting for Food’ this weekend


The Three Harbors Boy Scouts are holding their “Scouting for Food” collection in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties this weekend. The food benefits Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, where they helped sort food Friday morning.The scouts distributed door hangers at homes last weekend.On Saturday, they’ll return to those neighborhoods to collect the donated food.”One of the things scouting is really founded on is giving back to the community, learning about what it’s like to do things that aren’t necessarily for yourselves but how you can contribute to society, as well,” Scouting for Food chairman Phillip Clark said. Last year’s collection brought in more than 61,000 pounds of food. One in eight children in Eastern Wisconsin do not know where their next meal is coming from.
