The Art League of Baytown was organized in 1954 and incorporated as a Texas non-profit corporation in 1963.  In 2008, with the support of the City of Baytown, the Art League acquired its home, Art Center of Baytown at 110 W. Texas Avenue. The purpose is to give back to its community and help to revitalize the Historic Shopping District of Old Goose Creek, by making Art Center a destination for visual arts.

Classes are for all ages, genders and interests – painting, gourds, paper mâché, jewelry, weaving, photography and mixed media.
