When it comes to saving money in the kitchen, Ninja is a name that sticks out in the mind of shoppers, with many people ditching their traditional ovens for the brand’s worktop gadgets to save money on energy bills. And to make the savings feel even bigger, Amazon has dropped the price of one of Ninja’s most popular appliances.
Typically costing £229.99, the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker has been slashed by 35% bringing it down to less than £150 for a limited time, as part of Amazon’s massive spring sale. What’s more, it’s said to be more versatile than air fryers, and is claimed to use ‘half the power’ of other cooking methods.
The 9-in-1 gadget can pressure cook, air fry, slow cook, steam, bake/roast, sear/sauté, grill, yoghurt and dehydrate in one, meaning you save money and space in the kitchen in the long run. It is said to be up to 70% faster than traditional cooking methods and with a sizeable six litre capacity, the piece of kit is perfect for a family of up to four people.

What’s more, keen home chefs can use the multi-cooker to lock in tasty food juices while pressure cooking and then switch to the crisping lid for perfectly cooked meals, finished with a crisp. Included in the box is the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker, a non-stick dishwasher safe 6L cooking pot, cook and crisp basket, stainless steel rack and a chef-created recipe guide.
On Amazon, the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker has racked up a near-perfect average star-rating of 4.8 out five, from over 3,800 reviews. Customers have been left impressed with how ‘versatile’ the cooker is, with some ditching their air fryers in favour of it.
One Amazon shopper said: “Any meat comes out super tender and always perfectly cooked. We’ve made ratatouille chicken and mushrooms and all sorts of pasta sauces perfect every time! You can air fry chips, roasties, sausages and basically, basically whatever. The pressure cooker lid is fantastic and I genuinely had never thought of having one but wow I’m glad we did! Potatoes and veg always come out perfectly. The grill is excellent as is the slow cooker so come the winter massive energy hikes it will be used a lot as it’s so cost effective to run. We’ve barely had our cooker or oven on since we bought it. Fantastic bit of kit.”
A second wrote: “In short. It’s fabulous. I batch cook a lot and it just works. After my oven died, I bought this. I have no intention of getting an oven. With this lovely bit of kit and a microwave, I am sorted. My tiny kitchen is seemingly less tiny as no oven gives more space. This Ninja does exactly what it says it does. I have bought some accessories for it as my partner missed his pizza. It bakes like a dream, it’s easy to clean and simple to use. I wish I had one of these 30 years ago.”
A third penned: “Bought four months ago, this appliance has become the mainstay of my kitchen. It really is so versatile. From porridge to pies, stews to steaks, roast chicken, soups – the possibilities are endless. Whoops! Almost forgot the all important French fries, yum! Yes, I’m a big fan and wish I’d bought one sooner – scarcely use the hob or the oven any more, thus a big saving on the currently horrendous electricity prices.”
“Honestly the best addition to my kitchen ever,” mentioned another. “Roasted a whole chicken in 45 minutes! Electric is so costly at the minute and this literally uses half the power in half the time.. It cooks rice in three minutes, make wonderful crispy potatoes in ten minutes, slow cooker it’s got it all! Highly highly recommend.”
However, one shopper gave the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker a three-star review, calling it ‘a bit of a gimmick’. They wrote: “The air frying / crisp function is great, and sure the pressure mode is useful but honestly you can save £200 and do most of this with your existing kitchen in the same amount of time and it’ll taste far better. I’d just buy a cheaper air fryer.”
But another loved the multi-cooker, adding: “The single best thing I have ever bought from Amazon! Can cook a whole roast dinner and makes everything how it should be made! Amazing kitchen tool! Seriously contemplating turning my kitchen in to a gym and just having the Ninja and a fridge in the corner for all my meals.”
Amazon has also slashed the price of some of its more budget-friendly air fryers. The Instant Compact Small Air Fryer has been discounted to just £29.98 down from £49.99, and the Tower Vortx 9L Duo Basket Air Fryer is now £89.99 down from £139.99.
