The rapper Coolio died of an overdose of fentanyl. His manager and family spokesperson, Jarel Posey, told The Hollywood Reporter that heroin and methamphetamines were also found in his body.

Posey says that the coroner recently told Coolio’s family that he had died. The coroner also said that Coolio’s asthma and his history of smoking cigarettes were also factors in his death. Posey said that the star’s family and friends still think of him as a great person on and off stage.

Coolio, who was 59 years old, was discovered dead on September 28 at a friend’s house in Los Angeles. The rapper was known all over the world for his hit song “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which won a Grammy Award and was in the movie Dangerous Minds. “Fantastic Voyage,” “1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New),” and “C U When U Get There” were some of their other singles.

One of the things he did in Hollywood was write the theme song for the 1996 Nickelodeon show Kenan & Kel, which starred Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Thompson remembered Coolio when he died by writing on social media, “Damn, homie!!! Rest in Power!!!!”

Coolio was in movies like “Dear God,” “Batman & Robin,” “Submerged,” and “Stealing Candy.” (2003). On the show Futurama, he was the voice of Kwanzaa-bot.
