Even though Elon Musk sued Grimes for parenting rights, she doesn’t care.
In a lawsuit over the custody of their three children, Musk, 52, and Grimes, 35, are suing each other. Grimes also filed a move to dismiss Musk’s petition.
As of October 6, Grimes’s court documents were made public. In them, the Genesis singer said that two of their three children, Exa Dark Siderael and Techno “Tau” Mechanicus, both 1, have been living with her in California since around December 31st, even though the tech mogul said that they had been living with him in Texas from May to July.
The mother of three said that the founder of Space X only lives in Texas, where he brought the lawsuit, about 46% of the time. She also said that he’s on the West Coast two to three days a week.
The Oblivion singer made it clear that she doesn’t have any real ties to Texas and said that the court’s “assumption of jurisdiction” is “inappropriate” and would go against “fair play and substantial justice.”
The move to dismiss was made just a few days after Insider reported that Musk had sued his on-and-off ex-girlfriend for child custody long before she sued him back in mid-September, as reported by US Weekly.
While he was in court on September 8, the Tesla CEO said he wanted to “establish a parent-child relationship” with his children, who he said were living with him in Texas.
Musk also said that Grimes moved to California to “escape jurisdiction.”
Around the same time, the mother of three begged Musk on X (formerly Twitter) to “let me see my son or plz [sic] respond to my lawyer” in a post that has since been taken down.
Musk hasn’t talked about it in public yet.
