Tucson Wildlife Center recruiting small-animal care volunteers

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Tucson Wildlife Center is recruiting volunteers to help care for orphaned and injured animals.

The Wildlife Center has a few different volunteer positions they are looking to fill, but are specifically looking for animal-lovers to be part of their seasonal Bird and Bunny Care team.

The Bird and Bunny care volunteer position runs from March to September, and interested volunteers must be able to commit to the entire baby season.

B&B volunteers get one-on-one animal handling experience with the Center’s smallest critters– feeding specifically baby birds and small animals.

An orientation session is required, and all volunteers are required to provide a photo ID and proof of tetanus vaccine within the last 10 years.

The Center says they are also in need of help within their office, answering questions from the public, greeting visitors, and in-taking animals.
