Oppenheimer, a Classic BBC Drama, Is Now Available on the Streaming Service iPlayer

The popular drama series “Oppenheimer,” starring Sam Waterston, now has all seven episodes available on BBC’s streaming service, iPlayer.

The BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated show was previously available to rent or buy on Prime Video. Now, fans can watch the whole thing on iPlayer.

This movie comes out after Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” which was part of the “Barbenheimer” movie event and did very well at the box office, making over $405 million worldwide.

The BBC Studios show stars Sam Waterston as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the introverted father of the atomic bomb, and David Suchet, who is best known for his part as Poirot, as Edward Teller, a scientist at Los Alamos. The show was mostly made up of American actors who lived in the U.K., except for Waterston.

“Oppenheimer” is an important piece of history, and the producer Peter Goodchild’s idea for the project was trusted. As part of his study, Goodchild went to the U.S. with writer Peter Prince to meet Oppenheimer’s family and friends, which helped make the series an amazing story.

Peter Prince liked working with Sam Waterston and praised the actor’s performance as the complicated and divided Oppenheimer. He said that Waterston was charming and determined.
