After the Shocking Video of the Dalai Lama Surfaced, Cardi B Lectured Parents

Following the viral video of the spiritual leader abusing a child, Cardi B tweeted Monday night to warn parents about the dangers of online child predators.

As a mother of two young children, the rapper took to Twitter to express her concerns regarding pedophilia.

“This world is full of predators,” wrote Cardi B. “They prey on the innocent. The ones who are most unknowing, our children. Predators could be our neighbors, our school teachers, even people with money, power & our churches. Constantly talk with your kids about boundaries and what they shouldn’t allow people to do to them.”

In response to a fan’s comment that her mother was so “protective” of her as a child, but that she is “grateful” for it now, the Bodak Yellow rapper wrote, “Yep….No sleepovers, nothing!!!”

Although Cardi B did not specify what exactly prompted her tweets, they follow the Dalai Lama’s apology.

The spiritual leader begged forgiveness for a viral video from an event in India earlier this year in which he is seen asking a young boy to “suck his tongue.”

In the video, the young boy approaches the 87-year-old and requests a hug. The Dalai Lama then requests that the boy “kiss him on the lip” as he pulls the boy’s chin towards him while puckering his lips.

He then appears to instruct the boy to “suck my tongue” by extending his tongue and leaning toward him.

The statement read, “His Holiness wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused. His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras.”
